Snow. It’s magical.

So you’ve been hired to direct a production of La Bohème. Congratulations. I’m here to help you tackle this puppy. What? Oh, you want a character break down and who goes where and what they should do? I mean, like you could listen to multiple recordings from great artists Callas, Freni, Albanese, learn the score. You could stage manage multiple productions and assistant direct? Not a thing anymore? You’re just going to Google “How to Direct La Boheme”. Wikapedia only helps so much. Ok. Here you go. Don’t worry, I won’t make you read and your reels will be fire. Seriously, I’m not judging you. I know you are not getting enough rehearsal time. Speaking of which, before you do anything plan out your rehearsal schedule and pad it. Some will be taken away for whatever reason, just throw in an extra session or two that you can lose or use.

Moonlight through the window

Lighting:

Act I — Moonlight. It’s cold.

Act II — Starry night. It’s still cold.

Act III — Before sunrise. It’s freaking freezing. Snow.

Act IV — Night into Morning.
